@PUFF BAKER CAFE
Puff baker cafe is an absolute gem in golden mile mall in Palm Jumeirah,conveniently located near the Dubai tram. Its a contemporary family restaurant offering a refined selection of international dishes with a healthy twist.
The ambiance is just lovely- elegant but laid back, a fantastic place to have exotic and fresh breakfast/brunch. They do serve continental all day menu and have an unique junior chef zone to develop kids sensory experiences , so that you can have a friend’s catch up session while kids learn how to bake..Their tagline absolutely suits them:
“WE CALL IT HOME”
Everyone who works at the restaurant are super accommodating,knowledgeable and friendly.
We ordered cheese croissant,which was superfluously soft and the kids just loved it.
Next in our table was Spanish omelette with baby potatoes,bell peppers, cheddar cheese and tomato which was equally good
Puffs English breakfast was served along with fresh orange juice,coffee,toasted bread and the choice of our egg with grilled tomato ,veal bacon ,roasted baby potatoes and baked beans. Veal bacon was a little over roasted but everything else was just fine.
Since we were famished we decided to have a heavy breakfast and ordered Norwegian salmon too. Upon our request it was served medium crispy made salmon with mashed potatoes,sun dried tomatoes with lemon butter sauce and I absolutely loved it

@Down Town Cafe
So here I take you through my first restaurant review which made to my blog finally (since I’m extremely lazy and reaching up to here was a herculean task for me, and all that credit goes to my crazy sissy)
So coming back to the point (trying myself not to get deviated ) this eatery was there in my bookmark for so long and today ended up reaching there for early dinner with my family at around 6.30 pm . Since the restaurant is in heart of karama,i was a little concerned about the parking..but thankfully we got the parking without much hassle and there is a huge car parking area in front of the restaurant.
We were reallyy pleased with the outset of the restaurant since the eatery was having a contemporary finish with dim light setting.
Ambience was chic and relaxing and they are having quiet a large seating capacity
We ordered crunchy shrimp cocktail as the starter and lamb chops,chicken portobello and chicken penne pasta for the main course along with OMA and mint lime juice.
1. Crunchy shrimp cocktail was absolutely suiting the name for which it was given…it was really crunchy(guess its deep fried) and hence my taste buds were not able to recognize other than the mocktail flavour
2. Lamb chops was very normal in flavour and it was little bit chewy too
3. CHicken portobello was the show stealer…chicken was juicy enough with the mushroom sauce and we absolutely loved it
4. Chicken pasta..Was an old standby for an easy decently priced pasta dinner
Overall it was a reasonable dinner at a reasonable price served by great people at a family owned and operated establishment.
Cheers to the team…will definitely come back to try other dishes @downtowncafe
