BARBECUE DELIGHTS – You can’t beat their meat…!!!

One of the best features of Buffet concept restaurants is that you get to sit back and relax with large groups of people without the hassle of having to order dishes to satisfy everyone’s cravings.(By the way, I hate ordering dishes). Be it a family gathering or a group of ever hungry friends; you are definitely in for a treat at the spacious and airy Barbecue Delights. They do have an ample car parking space underground and the best part is they accept entertainer vouchers as well . Yes , you heard it right, you can have their delicacies at half the price, if you own entertainer subscription for the year.

We reached , Barbeque delights, craving for some extensive buffet, but to our disappointment, they informed us that for time being they are serving only la carte .( I was expecting buffet because, I have checked the positive reviews about their buffet in zomato) .

The high ceiling with a simple yet neat woodwork makes for an elegant decor. The ambiance is extremely family friendly with a few podium based tables.

We visited Barbecue Delights on a Friday which happens to be one of the most busiest times of the week, but to our surprise the restaurant was not crowded and we were at peace .( I love the feeling when you get the whole place to yourself –hurreeyy )
And the best part of restaurant located at Down town area, was kid’s play area.Since it was kind of mommy’s day out with the kids, seeing the play area was a huge relief ( Priceless) and the entertainment was as such, we actually forgot to feed our kids…shhh

To say that they have a massive food spread is an understatement. With loads of appetizers, fresh assortment of oven baked breads ,soups ,mains and desserts , they guarantee that there is something for everyone to enjoy. They regularly change up the menu so that you can keep coming back to try new dishes every time you choose to dine here.

So here I’m gonna start my food troll (Please have patience, till I finish ).

Hummoos- Whether you know it as hummus or hommus, there’s no denying that this creamy chickpea dip is downright delicious and Barbeque delight’s hummus also served the purpose perfectly with a really well-balanced flavour that we enjoyed.

Mouttabel – a smoky aubergine dip similar to baba ganoush. These little beauty was absolutely perfect in both texture and flavour, delicious!

Jumbo prawns with fries and garlic paste – Big, juicy, meaty and crispy prawns – that’s the best way to describe these beauties. Pretty in golden pink, these prawns taste just as good as they look.

Garden salad – includes mixed lettuce leaves, tomatos, cucumber, white onions and with little bit of pepper and salt, was kind of a more standard and straightforward manner

Grills and Kebabs

Mutton Ribs –Minimum fuss, maximum flavour is the best way to describe this huge lamb shank platter. It’s enough for 4-5 people

Mutton Bihari Kebab – Warming and delicious ,I can only describe it as a rich and tender which is explosively flavourful, one that is certain to win you over if you taste it.

Chicken Malai Boti – This was one of the best malai boti chicken , which I had in recent times. The chicken was literally melting in my mouth with flavours

Chicken Reshmi Kebab – It was succulent and melt-in-mouth texture which is sure to knock you out! Well in Hindi, ‘reshmi’ means ‘silky’ and this kebab could not have a better name than this! These are literally smooth and succulent like silk! You have to experience this to trust me!

Main Course

Chicken Biriyani – was exotic and aromatic and I felt biriyani was more of a sindhi type, for its spicy taste, fragrant rice and delicate meat and it was truly delicious and straightforward.

Mutton Karahi – was excellent thick gravy with contrasting flavours and textures, in creamy tomato sauce, garnished with flaked almonds.

Ginger chicken – was a delightful chicken dish which has an unforgettable flavour of ginger and the lingering taste of Indian spices.

Assortments and Thirst Quenchers

Plain Naan /Kandhari Naan – Was very soft and fresh and was not chewy at all.

Mango Milk shake – had a perfect milk shake which was made with Pakistani mangoes .

Orange Juice /Kiwi juice /Watermelon juice /Pineapple juice – were all fresh juices with right amount of sweetness extracted from well riped fruits
Sweet Lassi – gave a perfect cooling effect for my tummy

shahi tukda with condensed milk is a royal treat to taste buds at anytime but this one didn’t gave that royal treat though.

kulfi – flavor and texture of kulfi was perfectly balanced with ingredients such as saffron, cardamom, and rose petal

gulab Jamun – there are both gulab jamun haters as well as lovers ( I donno where I fall into ) but I don’t mind the extra calories and hence I preferred fried jamuns in ghee for richer taste, where here it was not.

bannofee pudding – felt like was not enough caramelized and flavor actually tastes like toffee.

Service is pleasant and we had a great meal. I think we were the last ones to leave the restaurant. Over all it was a delight being there. From the appetizers to the food to the desserts, it was a never ending delight to the tummy. Will be definitely coming back for more.
