Not long after the ‘Bean There Bistro’ opened their doors in September 2016, in Millenium Hotel in airport road, Dubai, word began circulating about one of their desserts on offer. I guess, chef apparently let out a howl of despair. “Is this what we’re going to become famous for, “A Red Velvet Cake?”
Truly,Yaas, but I think it’s just not that. And rightly so, for it is a thing of true beauty and soothing deliciousness. It is spungy and creamy as balm for the soul. Chuck out the antidepressants. Cancel the talking cures. Just prescribe a plateful of this to the anxious and panicked. The world will immediately seem that little bit better. It manages to be both intense and ineffably light.
Oopz..wait, I think I’m reviewing it in a descending order. Let me come back to my senses.Let’s talk about ambience first and then obviously food.
So this amazing and cute eatery is located in the new wing of Millennium Airport Hotel and features an interesting, straightforward menu which is built around one premise: if you’re not going to do very much, you’d better do it exceedingly well. It takes the clichés into which it has bought very seriously indeed, comprising of breakfast, lunch and dinner menu from around the world, to be specific ,continental .And the best part is they do have outdoor seating with Shisha and drinks .The one thing that especially stood out, was the décor. Fresh and bright, the restaurant possesses a wall that sprouts actual flora in arrears to a detailed watering and lighting system ,working behind the scenes .And the other end of the bistro, has book shelves and board games.
The bistro’s seating was quite impressive and massive , the ambience was so romatically awesome( since we were there in the month of ‘love’ and valentine’s day preperations were going in full swing). The furnitures were so classy and uplift with wooden rusty feel.
Coming back to menu, Bean There Bistro ,has great brews on tap and appetizers for a casual evening and Great Full Gardens allows you to have both healthful food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere
What we had,
Drinks –Orange Juice and Watermelon Juice
Starters –Calamari and Buffalo chicken spring rolls
Mains – Traveller’s chicken
Dessert – Red velvet cake
We just had fresh juices, that too without sugar and ice, and still tasted fresh and yummy (AED 24 each)
Calamari, AED 28, were really crispy and crunchy ,marinated in panco mix and with wasabi mayonnaise
Buffalo chicken spring rolls,AED 28 – were shredded medium spiced buffalo chicken spring rolls, with blue cheese dressing .Eventhough I’m a cheese lover, and will have cheese in any form and shape ,here I prefer wasabi mayonnaise spread to blue cheese as the dip.
Travelers Chicken (From The Islands To India): Tender Curried Chicken, Spiced Chickpeas, Light Slaw Mix And Fresh Paratha Bread Served With Caribbean Hot Sauce -The travelers chicken is a refreshing mix of flavors and the combination (chick peans and chicken), which I have never tried of before , and my taste buds totally loved it .
