If you’re visiting Dubai, taking out visitors, or just love Chinese food, then this is the brunch to choose out of your many weekend brunch options in town, as Celsius offers unique authentic Chinese delicacies along with Arabic salad and starter options . “Fusion” is no longer a dirty word. More restaurants are serving multiple types of Asian food and doing it well.
I visited Celsius last Friday ,for the first time in my life, which is shocking since I’ve wanted to try this place for so long. Eventhough I couldn’t make it here before , but when I finally made it, I opted to make it on the Chinese new year , since Celsius was offereing, there one of a kind, chinese rooster brunch for AED 169 which was really worth for the buffet dishes they offered .
Without further ado, here are the reasons why I recommend Celsius :
Uniquely Chinese: from its Old Beijing inspired colourful red lanterns to the wide variety of Chinese delicacies , soup counters and live stations for crab, chicken and meat .
An unbeatable view from floor-to-ceiling windows – your view of Sheikh Zayed road of Dubai doesn’t get any better than this. It’s not that high enough but not too low also , so that you can easily enjoy the slow moving traffic, which actually seems to be crawling .
Coming back to food, food station starts with soup counter and options available were seafood soup or chicken soup with your choice of veggies and spices to add in.The next counter for us to attack was Salad counters.Frankly speaking , I’m not much of a salad person, but after seeing the wide variety of salads , I tried a few among them, which consists of roasted beef and pickle cucumber, spicy salmon gravlax, Chinese cabbage with soya chilli dressing, duck and plum salad, noodle cake with smoked salmon, spring vegetable rolls, tofu with fried onion and snow peas, green curry vegetable terrine, rice and chicken salad, raw papaya salad with sesame and last but not the least vermicelli with chilli seafood and eggs. All were nicely decorated and kept in each platters and were really tempting
Next counter was starters. Eventhough starters looked like deep fried, but they were tenderly fried only and the best among the starters ,were fried spicy lamb and beef and quinoa with napa cabbage rolls in hoisin ginger sauce
Don’t be intimidated by all the Chinese dishes! The food was tailored for wider audiences so you can either request less spice or opt the unspicy dishes like the mouthwatering sweet and sour mushroom tofu or Szechuan shrimp and brocolli… mmmm
Other delicacies among the main courses were chicken Manchurian style, beef chow fun (beef and noodle ), stir fried young corn and pepper in oyster sauce, fried fish with hot garlic sauce.
The main attraction of brunch was their live station .Chef’s were serving Chilli crab , roasted chicken leg quarters with charred corn, five spiced roasted duck , roasted char sui cube roll and steamed hammour with lime and chilli in live station according to your requirement and level of spicyness.
Nevertheless to say, there were having a separate sushi counter ( sushi is often as good and fresh as the Chinese food), pork counter and desserts counter as well,( which means, If am going to narrate each dish, then someone is going kick me out from this place for sure, which I don’t intend to)
The ‘Celsius’ brunch is super affordable (AED 169 for food only) Brunch is served on Fridays from 12.00pm till 15.30 with unlimited soft drinks as well as made-to-order tea cocktails.
